Ahhh! Another teaser from the next Guardsman book! This time  from Part 1, Chapter 9, where the lead character Greg is contacting his friend Marsha with some serious concerns in connection to the rescue-dog Parker, whom Greg has been fostering:

“Fine, yeah, we’re okay. Just some weird shit that I don’t like and has Parker freaked out.”

“Now you’ve got me worried. Boy like you doesn’t freak easy,” she said, her words slowing down as she turned her focus to him completely.

“The guy who kidnapped and tortured Parker — he’s been showing up here.”

“What the fuck!” Marsha snapped.
